Terms & Conditions
  1. Arrival:  The cottage will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival.  The keys will be left for you in the key safe once the cottage has been set up for your arrival;
  2. Departure:  Check out time on the day of departure is 10am.  Please leave the cottage keys either in the kitchen on in the key safe;
  3. Pets:  A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are allowed with prior agreement from us, this on the condition that they are not left at the property unattended at anytime and that they are not permitted on any of the furniture or upstairs.  For dogs to stay there is a charge of £25 per week or £5 per night for shorter stays.  Please ensure that the dog's flea treatment is up to date.  We reserve the right to charge for cleaning or repair costs if your dog damages fixtures, furniture or soft furnishing with a minimum damage charge of £80 made payable before departure.  Failure to comply or report damage may be charged automatically to the customer card used at the time of booking.  We cannot guarantee that your dog cannot escape from the garden.  Sorry we are unable to accept any request for cats to stay;
  4. Cancellation policy:  No charge will be made if a booking is cancelled by 5pm, 14 days before arrival date.  With the exception of Covid restrictions, where cancellation is made less than 14 days before arrival we reserve the right to charge the full cost of your stay if we are unable to rebook the accommodation.  If a refund is due please contact us by email - stay@gwynducottage.co.uk, providing details of where the refund is to be deposited.  We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which can be obtained from any good insurance broker;
  5. Prices & payment:  The price of the accommodation includes the following:  Electricity, Linen & Towels, Cleaning at end of your stay, Hot Water, Heating and use of the WiFi.  For all bookings we require a deposit of 20% to confirm the booking. You must make sure that this reaches us within 5 days of making the booking.  Full payment is due 14 days before arrival, or at the time of booking if your stay is to be within 14 days of booking;
  6. PCI compliance:  Any card details given to Gwyndu Cottage to secure a booking are managed under PCISS guidance;
  7. Non-availability of accommodation:  We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation in the local area.  If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for your stay.  Our liability would not extend beyond this refund;
  8. Covid symptoms whilst staying at the cottage:  If you develop Covid-19 symptoms whilst staying at the cottage, then it is a requirement of the Welsh Government that you return to your primary residence immediately.  If you are too ill to travel then please be aware that you will be charged the full cost of your extended stay and for any additional costs incurred.  You must inform us by telephone on 07949 760991 that you have developed Covid-19 symptoms;
  9. Damages, breakages and missing items:  We do not normally charge for minor breakages.  Guests are responsibly for any losses from a damage caused to the rooms, furnishings or fittings and equipment in them by any omission, default or neglect and will pay on demand the amount required by the owner to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.  If the cottage is unlettable due to the damage then additional loss of business charges may be applied.  Failure to comply or to report any damage may be charged automatically to the customer card used at the time of booking.  We reserve the right to charge for missing items;
  10. Liability:  We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment;
  11. Smoking:  Smoking is prohibited throughout the cottage.  In the event this condition is not complied with, we will terminate your booking immediately without any liability for refund or compensation.  A cleaning fee of £80 will be charged to any guest who does not abide by this no smoking condition;
  12. Lost property:  We are happy to return items that have been left behind following departure.  We will normally not charge you for this, however a charge for postage and packaging will be made in the cost of postage is over £3.20.
 

For all bookings we require a deposit of 20% to confirm the booking. You must make sure that this reaches us within 5 days of making the booking.
We will send you an email confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. The balance must then be paid at least 14 days before the arrival date.  For stays which are to take place within 14 days of making the booking, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
